Return & Refund Policy

At Fair Isle Fables, we want you to love your purchase. If you’re not completely satisfied, we’re here to help.

Returns

Return Window: 30 days from delivery date

Eligible Items:

Art prints (must be in original condition, unframed)
Mugs (unused, in original packaging)
Pouches (unused, with tags attached)
Pendants (unused, in original packaging)

Non-Returnable Items:

Original paintings (all sales final)
Custom or personalized orders
Items damaged due to misuse or wear
Sale or clearance items (unless defective)

How to Initiate a Return

Contact us at hello@fairislefables.com within 30 days of receiving your order
Include your order number and reason for return
We’ll provide return shipping instructions
Ship the item back in its original packaging

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or defective
We recommend using a trackable shipping service
Fair Isle Fables is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit

Refunds

Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we receive your returned item

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

Contact us within 7 days of delivery
Provide photos of the damage
We’ll arrange a replacement or full refund (including shipping)
We’ll provide a prepaid return label if needed

Exchanges

We don’t offer direct exchanges at this time. If you’d like a different item, please return the original for a refund and place a new order.

Processing Time

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 3-5 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays).

Please Note:

Original paintings may require additional processing time for secure packaging (5-7 business days)
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day
During busy seasons (holidays), processing may take up to 7 business days

Domestic Shipping (United States)

Standard Shipping Cost: Calculated at checkout based on destination
Delivery: 5-7 business days after shipment
Carrier: USPS First Class or Priority Mail

International Shipping

Cost: Calculated at checkout based on destination
Delivery: 10-21 business days (varies by country)
Carrier: USPS International or equivalent
Important: Customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes

Tracking Your Order

You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships
Track your package through the carrier’s website
Contact us if you haven’t received tracking within 7 business days of ordering

Shipping Address

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We cannot be responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

Address Changes: Contact us within 24 hours of placing your order if you need to change your shipping address. Once shipped, we cannot modify the address.

Lost or Damaged Packages

Lost Packages:

If your tracking shows “delivered” but you haven’t received your order, please check with neighbors and your local post office
Contact us within 7 days and we’ll help file a claim with the carrier

Damaged Packages:

If your package arrives damaged, please take photos and contact us within 7 days
We’ll arrange a replacement or refund

Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempts:

We’ll contact you to arrange reshipment
Customer is responsible for reshipping costs

Title & Risk of Loss: Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier.

Original Paintings

One-of-a-Kind: Original paintings are unique, handcrafted artworks.

Final Sale: All sales of original paintings are final.

Condition: We photograph and describe original paintings as accurately as possible, but slight variations in color and texture are inherent in handmade artwork.
